: A flex board designer has been arrested here for allegedly killing a girl as she refused to marry him, police said on Friday.
The victim, who was doing intermediate, was found dead with wounds on the head and neck, indicating that she was attacked with a slab of concrete on the terrace of her house on Thursday night, the police said.
Shoeb, a classmate of the girl during their younger days at school, had been asking her to marry him, but her parents rejected the proposal saying she was still a minor, they said.
Following this, Shoeb assumed that the girl was avoiding him, and killed her on the terrace of her house before hurling the body onto the road, the police said.
As per CCTV footage and the girl's parents version, the victim went up to the terrace on Thursday and never came down, they added.
