Manganiello was initially tapped to play Deathstroke but the producers producers decided to go younger with the character and pick Parrack as a replacement, reported Aceshowbiz.
In a picture taken by director David Ayer from a table read, Parrack indeed joins the group while Manganiello is absent.
Two other new members, Ike Barinholtz ("The Mindy Project") and Adam Beach ("Cowboys and Aliens"), are rumoured to play Dr Hugo Strange and Ravan respectively.
The cast photo also sees Joel Kinnaman (Rick Flagg), Will Smith (Deadshot), Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje (Killer Croc), Jay Hernandez (El Diablo), Karen Fukuhara (Plastique), Margot Robbie (Harley Quinn), Jai Courtney (Captain Boomerang), Cara Delevingne (Enchantress), and Viola Davis (Amanda Waller) among others.
"Suicide Squad" is scheduled for an August 5, 2016 release in the United States.
