Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti today condemned the killing of a man by Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT) militants in Bandipora district last night.
The chief minister said the incident showed that perpetrators of the inhuman act have no respect for the holy month of Ramzan or the teachings of Islam, an official spokesperson said.
He said Mufti has extended her sympathies to the bereaved family.
Police today recovered a throat-slit body of a man in Hajin area of north Kashmir's Bandipora district.
Mohammad Yaqoob Wagay was brutally killed by the militants near his home at Gunda Preng village in Hajin area, a police spokesperson said.
He said the investigation indicated complicity of banned LeT outfit's local militant Saleem Parrey in this killing.
