On the first day of Navaratri, a major Hindu festival lasting 9 days, Vohra paid obeisance at the shrine and prayed for peace, harmony and prosperity in the state, officials said.
The Governor, chairman of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board, inaugurated several infrastructure development projects and launched a number of schemes of the Shrine Board.
He also reviewed ongoing development works of the Board, the officials said.
This 4-storey building had dormitory accommodation for 200 people besides locker facilities, the officials said.
The Governor also inaugurated Jaikara Bhojanalya at the Bhawan and inspected the under-construction pony stand.
Vohra walked from Sanjichhat to the Bhawan and met and spoke to a number of pilgrims.
