JK minister orders 'immediate relief' for fire victims

Expressing concern on the fire at Tujgari mohalla in Srinagar old city, which razed several houses, Jammu and Kashmir Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Ali Mohammad Sagar today directed Deputy Commissioner Srinagar to inspect the area.
The Minister also ordered the Deputy Commissioner to conduct an on-the-spot assessment and provide immediate relief to the sufferers.
The government will provide maximum possible assistance to the victims and a comprehensive report about the nature of loss will be prepared for providing adequate compensation, he said.
The issue of providing maximum possible relief assistance to the concerned will be taken up with the Chief Minister, so that they are given a special package for proper rehabilitation, Sagar added.
