JK students meet Jung, rue lack of cricket playing facilities

A group of 28 students from remote border areas of Gurez valley in Jammu and Kashmir today rued lack of adequate facilities for playing cricket in their areas.
The students conveyed this to Lt Governor Najeeb Jung during an interaction with him.
During the interaction, the students said they love cricket very much but there was no facility in their areas to play the game.
The students are here on a goodwill tour organised by Rashtriya Rifles.
The Lt Governor assured the children that he would take up this matter at an appropriate level to which the students expressed their happiness.

Jung asked them to focus on their studies and strive hard to become "good citizens".
He also asked the students to visit all the important historic sites in Delhi and told them that they must enjoy the Metro ride.
"The aim of the tour is to provide a brief exposure to the development, quality of life and historical places of our country. The tour will also instill a sense of awareness and national integration amongst the children of these areas," said Major Mukesh Prasad, who is in-charge of the group.
