JKNPP activists hold anti-Pakistan protests in Jammu

Women activists of Jammu Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today held protests against Pakistan accusing it of Uri terror attack and promoting terrorism on Indian soil.
The protestors also accused the central government of failing to protest its citizens, to create an atmosphere of peace and security in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Around 150 women activists raised slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and council of Ministers for failing to respond appropriately to Pakistan-supported terror.
They took out a procession from Press Club to Tawi Bridge and blocked the vehicular traffic.
JKNPP leader Manju Singh described the attack on army camp in Uri, in which 18 soldiers were killed and more than 25 injured, as an act of cowardice and timidity on the part of Pakistan.

"Pakistan has stepped up its nefarious activities in the last two years with increased support to separatist and anti-nationals in Kashmir and sending terrorists acrossthe Line of Control (LOC) and international border (IB)," she said.

She alleged appeasement policy pursued by the Centre and the state had largely emboldened the anti-national forces in the Valley.
Asserting that anti-national movement in Kashmir has increased during the BJP rule, Singh said militancy-related incidents in the Kashmir Valley have increased and also border incursions and infiltration.
She said the situation which was normal prior to the last Assembly polls in J-K but it has deteriorated as BJP was toeing the PDP line.
