Five nominations were received by Udhampur Returning Officer Jitendra K Singh, an official spokesman said here today.
Other candidates who filed their papers today are Shyam Lal of All J&K Kissan Mazdoor Party, two Independents -- Anil Kumar Gupta and Ranjit Singh, and Prem Nath as substitute candidate for BJP nominee Jatinder Singh Rana.
Meanwhile, six nomination forms were issued among the applicants during the day.
