Speaking to reporters here, Khandelwar claimed that graft has been rampant in JMC for the past 15 years, including during her five-year tenure which will get over next month.
"In employees state insurance (ESI) and provident fund (PF) matters, corruption of Rs 1.5 crore takes place per month between private contractors and JMC officers.
"...I personally took up each case and reported to ACB that sent one IAS officer and half a dozen of officers of Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) behind the bars in recent years," she claimed.
She said JMC had earned an income of Rs 36488.22 lakh from various taxes during 2009-2014, which included Rs 877 lakh from house tax, Rs 12,586 lakh from civic development, Rs 1529.84 lakh from advertisement, Rs 9076.38 lakh from hoardings, and Rs 12419 lakh from land sale.
Besides earnings, JMC had conducted various works worth Rs 327.64 cr in last five years, she claimed.
Jaipur's 80 per cent sewer waste was being treated at Sewer Treatment Plant in a joint exercise of JMC and Jaipur Development Authority (JDA).
Khandelwar was elected mayor on a Congress ticket. BJP is currently in majority Jaipur Municipal Corporation.
