unemployed youths were today provided job offers at the district level job fair (Nijukti mela) held at Chhatrapur, district headquarters town of Ganjam district.
While 1,316 youths got direct job offer letters from different companies in the fair, 1,575 were given placement- linked training offers.
After completion of their training, they will be employed in suitable places, said the Assistant Director, Employment, Berhampur R M Khillana said.
The cost of training will be borne by the state government, he said.
The one-day job fair was organized jointly by the Ganjam district administration and State Employment Mission to provide instant job opportunities to the unemployment youth in the district. Around 5,500 unemployed youths from across the district registered in the fair. Around 30 different companies of different states participated in the fair and recruited the youths.
