Swetnam will make his feature directorial debut with the movie, titled 'Breaking Through', which is expected to begin shooting this summer, reported Deadline.
The project has been billed as a "documentary-style dance drama for the YouTube generation".
Swetnam is also writing and producing for his Mad Horse Films label.
R&B singer Legend, 35, will exec produce with Get Lifted's Ty Stiklorius and Alexandru Celea is overseeing for Mad Horse.
