Trustee of Snehalaya Charitable Trust, Joseph Crasta has been chosen for the 11th 'Pingara Rajyotsava Award-2015'.

of Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy Roy Castelino told reporters here that Crasta had been chosen for the award in recognition of his services to the poor and destitute, including providing free meals to 700 poor people at Wenlock government hospital every day.
"Crasta had been providing free food, shelter and treatment to poor and the needy at his Snehalaya Charitable Trust for many years and the trust presently looks after 120 poor and orphans," Castelino said.

The annual Pingara Rajyotsava award was instituted in 2005.
