Actor Josh Hutcherson has defended his 'Hunger Games' co-star following reports that her nude photographs were leaked online by hackers.
The actor called the breach of privacy "unfair", reported Us magazine.
Nude photos of more than 100 well-known celebrities including Lawrence, Kate Upton and Kirsten Dunst were leaked online by hackers, who apparently got access to their iCloud. FBI is investigating the matter.
Hutcherson, who had faced a somewhat similar situation once, said being a celebrity does not mean that people will have a right to their most private moments.
"I just think all that stuff is so ridiculous. We're people, too man, we just want to live. We want to be normal people, it's not fair," the 21-year-old told ET Canada.
The actor is yet to talk to Lawrence but is confident that she will get over it.
"I think everyone has their own way of getting through it. It's something you obviously don't want to happen to you and it's really unfortunate that it happens. I hate the way the world sort of views those sorts of issues.
"Like Jen and I always say -- people say, 'Well you chose to be an actor, you are going to have to deal with this kind of thing.' Well, no. I started when I was 9 years old. She started when she was like 12. We didn't choose to have public scandal.
"So because this is what I am good at and this is my career means I also have to suffer on this other side?," he said.
