Jubilant FoodWorks today reported a over three-fold jump in June quarter net profit at Rs 74.67 crore, helped by increase in same store sales growth of Domino's Pizza.

The company, which operates Domino's Pizza and Dunkin Donuts chains in India, had posted a net profit of Rs 23.84 crore in the same period of the previous fiscal.

The company said growth was on the back of a strong same store growth (SSG) of 25.9 per cent in Domino's Pizza. Same store growth refers to the year-over-year growth in sales for restaurants in operation for two whole years.

Its total income went up by 26.45 per cent to Rs 862.19 crore during the quarter under review as against Rs 681.81 crore in the year-ago period, Jubilant FoodWorks (JFL) said in a filing to the BSE.

"The strong growth in Domino's came on the back of a superior product, value for money delivery and growing digital contribution. This together with our focus on achieving break-even in Dunkin' Donuts by the end of the financial year will continue to drive profitable growth for us," JFL Chairman Shyam S Bhartia and Co Chairman Hari S Bhartia said.

At present, the company operates 1,144 Domino's Pizza and 37 for Dunkin' Donuts outlets.

During the June quarter of the current fiscal, the company opened 13 new Domino's Pizza outlets and shut three. Whereas it closed one Dunkin' Donuts outlets and opened one.
