On June 8, Justice D Murugesan retired as the Chief Justice of Delhi High Court.
"An exercise of the powers conferred by Article 223 of the Constitution of India, the President has appointed Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed to perform the duties of the office of the Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court with effect from today (June 10, 2013)," an official release said.
The release also said Justice Mool Chand Garg, additional Judge of the high court, as a regular judge of the court.
"The President has appointed Justice Paramjeet Singh, Justice Naresh Kumar Sanghi, and Justice Rameshwar Singh Malik, Additional Judges of the High Court of Punjab and Haryana, as Judges of that High Court with effect from the date they assume charge of their office," the release said.
