The victim's body was found near Gurudwara Ravidas in Prasad Nagar police station in north Delhi area in an autorickshaw yesterday after which the police had launched a manhunt for the accused.
Six different teams were sent out to nab the accused and as per the investigation, it was found that the boy was friends with one Raja (18) along with whom he used to commit burglary and robbery crimes at night, police said.
"In the intervening night of Jaunary 6 and January 7, the duo (Raj and the boy) had gathered for committing some thefts...During local enquiry, it was learnt that the deceased had acquaintance with local criminals of the area and Raja was found to have had a quarrel with the boy a few days ago over the distribution of some stolen cash," they said.
During night, when the boy had slept off in an autorickshaw, Raja sensed the opportunity and attacked him. He allegedly stabbed on the victim's neck with a knife, leading to his death, police said.
