The senior leader, representing the Ernakulam Lok Sabha constituency was first nominated in August 2014 as Chairman of the PAC, one of the most important finance committees in the Parliament. He was renominated for another term last year.
The PAC, constituted every year comprises 22 members - 15 from Lok Sabha and seven from the Rajya Sabha.
Sudip Bandyopadhyay, Prem Singh Chandumajra, Nishikant Dubey, Richard Hay, Gajanan Chandrakant Kirtikar, B Mahtab, Riti Pathak, Neiphiu Rioh, Janardan Singh Sigriwal, Abhishek Singh, Kirit Somaiya, Anurag Thakur, Shivkumar C Udasi and P Venugopal are the PAC members from Lok Sabha.
