Shahi, who was earlier upset after he was denied party ticket from this seat remained with Mishra to extend his support.
Later, talking to reporters Mishra said that caste politics was dangerous for the country and politicians should shun it.
Refusing any reactions on the controversial statements of BJP leader Giriraj Singh and VHP leader Pravin Togadia, Mishra said it was not good to comment on any community.
