Kanchan Verma takes charge as GDA vice chairman

IAS officer Kanchan Verma today took charge as the new vice chairman of the Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA).
She took charge from the officiating VC and Secretary, Ravinder Godbole, as the 32nd head of the civic authority.
Verma told reporters that eradication of corruption from the GDA will be her priority. Dereliction in the duty will not be tolerated, she said.
Earlier to this, Verma, an IAS officer of the 2005 batch, has served as the district magistrate of Mirzapur, Amroha and Fatehpur, and was the CDO in Gautam Budh Nagar in 2009.
