DMK chief M Karunanidhi today repeated his demand for use of Tamil in the proceedings of Madras High Court.
Stating that a single judge of the Madurai bench of the court had granted permission for a hearing in Tamil, he said, "Likewise, all judges of the high court (should) permit Tamil as a language (in which) to hear cases."
Karunanidhi has sought the Centre's intervention to obtain Supreme Court's clearance for use of Tamil in high court proceedings.
