Kashmiri Pandit leader Shiban Duda passes away

Shiban Duda, a Kashmiri Pandit leader who had recently joined National Conference, passed away today at a private hospital here.
"Shiban, former General Secretary of All India Kashmiri Samaj (AIKS), had always stood up for the cause of Kashmiri Pandits at all possible fora -- be it political, social or bureaucratic," a statement issued by AIKS reads.
AIKS members condoled the death of Shiban. AIKS secretary Puran Patwari said Shiban's recent decision to join the National Conference was to make the voice of Kashmiri Pandits heard in the organisation.
