Comedian Katt Williams is facing a lawsuit from a former personal assistant over alleged verbal and physical abuse.
Yadira A Torres launched the lawsuit in Los Angeles Superior Court on Wednesday, alleging she was subjected to assault, battery, false imprisonment, and breach of contract while she worked for Williams, reported NBC.
In one incident, detailed in the court papers, Torres claims she rescued Williams from a car crash, but he verbally abused her following the accident and "restrained" her in a hotel room for three hours as "punishment".
She also alleges she sustained "severe injuries" after Williams "got upset, punched, hit and pushed (her) against a door".
Torres claims Williams also underpaid her on several occasions. She is seeking unspecified damages.
