Kejriwal holds review meeting on development projects

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal today held a review meeting to discuss developmental works being carried out by the government and the bottlenecks faced by the departments in completing work.
A joint meeting with all the MLAs and senior officials of various agencies to discuss status of various developmental works across the city, was held at Chief Minister's residence at Flagstaff road here.
According to senior officials, the ongoing work and planned projects were discussed by the MLAs. They highlighted the status of the development work and the problems faced in completing them.
The meeting was also aimed at a direct interaction between the MLAs, officials and representatives of different agencies for better coordination and speedy completion of projects.
"MLAs raised the issues they faced and interacted with the concerned officials. A direct dialogue was established between the officers and the public representatives in presence of the cabinet," a senior official said.
The Chief Minister sought a report from the different agencies on the problems brought up during the meeting by the MLAs.
Issues like work under MLA-LAD, Delhi Urban Development Agency (DUDA) and civic agencies were raised by the MLAs. They also discussed about street lights, electric poles, CCTV cameras and other common problems, the officer said.
An AAP MLA noted that this was the first meeting wherein all the MLAs and bureaucrats discussed several issues together.
The meeting was attended by all the cabinet ministers, AAP MLAs, secretaries of concerned department, Divisional Commissioners and commissioners of all the three municipal corporations.
