Delhi Assembly Speaker Ram Niwas Goel, Transport Minister Gopal Rai, Health Minister Satyendra Jain and former Law Minister Somnath Bharti were among others who offered floral tributes to the Dalit icon at the Assembly here.
Kejriwal was accompanied by the ministers and MLAs of his party as he showered Ambedkar's statue installed at the Assembly with rose petals.
"We pay homage to Babasaheb Ambedkar on his death anniversary. He is the architect of the Indian constitution as well as shaper of modern thoughts in the country," said Transport Minster Rai.
Host of programmes are being organised in different parts of the country to remember Ambedkar.
Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution, breathed his last on December 6, 1956. He was born on April 14, 1891 in Mhow, Madhya Pradesh.
