Yudron was promoted to the rank of DIG of Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB) on February one and is the second woman in the country to have reached the position in the force. She is currently posted at the frontier headquarter at Tezpur in Assam, an official communique informed.
On behalf of the citizens of the state, the chief minister congratulated Yudron on her success and said her achievement has made the state proud.
"I believe that your rare achievement will stimulate young women in the state to invest in themselves, their capacities and aspire to turn their dreams into reality," said Khandu.
Encouraged by friends, she joined SSB as circle organiser in 1984 after she topped in the recruitment exam. She was later promoted as area organiser in 1991, the communique added.
