"People can join BJP by giving a missed call to the party office, following which the caller will get an SMS through which applicant's acceptance will have to be given," Khattar said at the occasion.
The chief minister recalled that when he was a party worker, he used to visit the BJP office on motorcycle or scooter.
He said, "there was no certainty whether BJP would get a clear mandate to form a government after assembly elections in Haryana. But when it happened, the next big question was who would be the Chief Minister."
"Even then it was not clear that Manohar Lal Khattar would be the Chief Minister, but it was possible only in the BJP party," he added.
"After I had won with a huge margin of 64,000 votes, I received information from the party that I would be the new Chief Minister," he said.
