While no. 1 seed Anand overcame Rohan Bhatia of Maharashtra in straight sets, Pune-based no. 2 ranked Kirrtane was leading unseeded city rival Tejas Chaukulkar 3-0 in the second set after having catpured the first when the latter conceded the match.
In the semi-finals, Anand will clash with Telangana player Abdullah Shaikh who got a walkover from Madhya Pradesh's Bhavesh Gour, while Kirrtane will face Delhi's Jatin Dahiya.
