Kitchen to be showcaused for supplying 'sub-standard' food to

The Delhi Women and Child Development Minister today asked officials to issue showcause notice to a non-profit organisation which runs kitchens from where "sub-standard" food was supplied to anganwadi centres.
During a surprise inspection, Minister Sandeep Kumar found "lacunae" in the quality of food being supplied from a kitchen run by the NPO to various anganwadi centres in Rohini-1.
The kitchen is being run under the Integrated Child Development Services.
The Minister has also ordered to change the entire stock of the edibles at the kitchen, an official statement said.
"The records of the kitchen were also full of faults," the statement said.
