Jharkhand High Court today granted conditional bail to former Chief Minister Madhu Koda in connection with the rural electrification scam.
The single bench of Justice H C Mishra granted the bail on condition that Koda deposited his passport.
Koda had earlier got provisional bail twice on April 15 and May 14 this year in the the case to attend to his ailing mother.
"This is Koda's fifth and final bail and the case is the last one," his advocate Biswajeet Mukherjee told media here.
Koda has been in judicial custody from November 30, 2009, after being accused of involvement in money laundering, illegal investments, rural electrification and other scams.
He was the head of the UPA government between 2006-2008, which was supported by Congress, RJD and JMM, when the alleged scams surfaced.
