Ahead of the general elections next year, the Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee today said it would revive its research wing to expand the party base.
The job of the research wing would be to expand the party base, counter the opposition attack on the party and its leaders and inform voters about the programmes, policies and ideology of Congress.
Rajya Sabha member and national head of research wing, Rajeev Gowda told PTI that the plans were afoot to strengthen the research wing of the state unit and meetings had already taken place in this regard.
"We had two-three meetings in Karnataka.. The research wing will function fully during the election time. Dinesh Gundu Rao is in Delhi and I have a meeting with him to work together and strengthen the research wing."
