The 39-year-old 'Bridesmaids' star and The Strokes rocker, 33, recently decided to end their relationship after dating for 18 months, reported Us magazine.
"It was very amicable and they will remain friends," a source said.
The former 'Saturday Night Live' star had recently said that she would love to start a family in the near future.
"I'd like to have a family... I would love to have kids," she had said.
The actress was earlier married to actor Hayes Hargrove but they split just four years.
