In his letter, Kumar referred to Jaitley's statement in the US today hinting that a financial assistance is likely to be given to Bihar soon.
The Centre will go "all out" to support Bihar in a "big way" and is likely to announce projects and schemes in a few weeks time to assist the resource-rich state, Jaitley said at the Stanford University in the US.
"We await with expectations that this will fructify into something concrete and will not be just another announcements of the past," Kumar wrote to the PM.
"If the dictum of 'cooperative federalism' is to be genuinely translated into reality, speedy action is required on the well thought out detailed proposal pending at the level of central government," Kumar said.
Jaitley had said during his budget speech that special financial assistance to Bihar will be given on the lines of Andhra Pradesh.
