Indian ace golfer Anirban Lahiri will tee off alongwith Ryan Moore of US and Norwegian-American golfer Erik Compton in the first two rounds of the US Open at Chambers Bay next week.
The 27-year-old, who won two of the 12 tournaments this season to break into the top 50 of the Official World Golf Ranking and qualify for the 2015 Masters Tournament, will be joined by compatriot Shiv Kapur in the field.
Lahiri, who finished tied for 49th at the Augusta National Golf Club in his Masters debut, will look to put up a competitive performance when the tournament gets underway on June 18.
The 33-year-old Shiv, who had finished Tied 23 last year, has been placed with amateur golfer Denny McCarthy and American D A Points.
World No. 1 Rory Mcllroy, who clinched the title in 2011 but missed the cut in the last two events, will be teeing off alongwith defending champion Martin Kaymer and US amateur champion Gunn Yang in pursuit of his fifth major title.
World No. 2 Jordan Spieth will pair up with Justin Rose and Jason Day, while the trio of Sergio Garcia, Adam Scott and Dustin Johnson will tee off together in another group.
Former World No. 1, Tiger Woods, who had a disappointing campaign at The Memorial last weekend, will tee off with Rickie Fowler and Louis Oosthuizen.
