SSP Dharmendra Singh directed officials to prosecute landlords under section 188 of IPC if they bypassed verification and their tenant were later on found by police to have criminal antecedents, Sahibabad SHO Hari Dayal Singh Yadav said today.
In a meeting of officials which he chaired, the SSP directed all SHOs in the district to keep a vigil on tenants and verify their credentials from their native police stations and maintain registers, Yadav said.
Keeping in view the terrorist attack at Pathankot Airbase and forthcoming Republic Day, SSP Singh ordered the officials to keep extra vigil in their respective areas.
