Law will take its own course, Soz on allegations against DyCM

In wake of allegations of corruption levelled against Deputy Chief Minister Tara Chand by his Public Relations Officer Kewal Sharma, JKPCC chief Saifuddin Soz today said law will take its own course.
"Deputy chief minister will give a clarification," Soz said when asked about the allegations.
Kewal had earlier alleged that Tara Chand was involved in various scams and said he was being threatened by the minister as he was in possession of some documents against him.
Responding to questions, the JKPCC (Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee) chief told reporters here, "Law will take its own course. Nobody is above the law."

Meanwhile, opposition BJP has upped its ante against the the deputy chief minister and has demanded his resignation.
The youth wing of BJP led by district president Ajay Vaid today raised slogans against Tara Chand and the Congress party, and also burnt the minister's effigy.
Earlier BJP state president Jugal Kishore Sharma had demanded inquiry into allegations against the deputy chief minister.
"Tara Chand should resign from the post on moral grounds till conclusion of inquiry as his continuation in office will influence the probe," the BJP leader said.
