The Mussoorie-based Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration (LBSNAA) would help the Arunachal Pradesh government to resolve pressing issues through application of new management tools, officials said on Monday.

LBSNAA Director Sanjeev Chopra called on Chief Minister Pema Khandu here Monday and offered all assistance of the academy in management and development of Arunachal Pradesh.

The chief minister told Chopra to create an Arunachal Study Group (ASG) in LBSNAA, a think-tank to spread awareness on the importance and needs of Arunachal Pradesh in different fora in the Centre, an official release said.

"It will provide various inputs to the government and publicise various opportunities," Khandu said.

The LBSNAA team with its unique disposition could provide crucial inputs to the government at the central level, state level and various non-government agencies.

It would help with research and evaluation of the pressing issues and policies and also be a platform for necessary inputs for changes in laws, rules and land reforms.

Further, the academy would explore and throw challenges on real time and policy issues through case studies and problem-solving to officers who come for training, a government release said.

Chopra said the academy would give its best to support the Administrative Training Institute of the state through inputs and capacity building of the officers.

Khandu had earlier called for focusing on management and IT skills and more importantly on project and policy conceptualization, formulation, optimisation and execution.

The LBSNAA is the premier training institution for the civil services in India.

It conducts a common Foundation Course for entrants to the All India Services followed by professional training for regular recruits of the Indian Administrative Service.
