Lead prices slipped by 0.09% to Rs 111.15 per kg in futures trading today due to sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market amid a weak global trend.

At the Multi Commodity exchange, lead for delivery in March fell by 10 paise, or 0.09%, to Rs 111.15 per kg in a business turnover of 279 lots.

The metal for delivery in May contracts also fell by a similar margin to trade at Rs 112 per kg in two lots.

Marketmen said besides the sluggish demand from battery-makers in the spot market, a weak trend in metal at the London Metal Exchange, kept pressure on lead prices at futures trade.
