The distribution will start at Ibrahimpatnam village where each house will be given two LED bulbs at subsidised price Rs 10 only against the market price of Rs 600, a State Energy Conservation Mission issued here said.
The first phase had commenced recently at Challpalli village in the district.
The Mission targets to distribute 18 lakh bulbs in Krishna which would save 105 million units of power in a year in the entire district, it said.
Every consumer would be benefited by at least Rs 50 a month. Under the energy saving mission with the support from the Central government, State Energy Mission has already implemented the scheme in four districts Anatapur, Guntur, West Godavari and Srikakulam.
