ShopClues appoints Arun Goel as VP Products

E-commerce player ShopClues today said it has appointed Arun Goel as Vice President Products.
His focus at ShopClues will be building and managing services to enable merchants to scale their business faster and more effectively, a statement said.
He will also be responsible for providing merchants with technologies and services to be successful in the hyper-local context, it added.
Goel will look at digitising merchant businesses and assist them in increasing their sales and non-transactional revenue.
The hyper-local services and technologies for merchants will include marketing, advertising, logistics, digital coupons, location aware solutions that will help buyers and sellers discover each other.
"At this stage of our growth, it was imperative to bring on board someone with a vision and entrepreneurial passion. We are certain that Arun Goel's profile is a perfect fit for our requirements," ShopClues.Com Co-founder and CEO Sanjay Sethi said.
Prior to ShopClues, Goel served Moody's Corporation as VP Engineering and has been associated with several other brands like Barclays Capital, Lehman Brothers, Citigroup and Siemens Corporation Research at various leadership positions.
Founded in July 2011 in Silicon Valley, ShopClues is an online managed marketplace with more than 60 million monthly visitors on its website and over 2.5 lakh merchants.
