The Left parties would also sharpen their attack on the BJD government in Odisha over corruption and multi-crore chit fund scam being investigated by the CBI, leaders of CPI, CPI-M, Forward Bloc, SUCI and CPI (ML) Liberation told reporters here.
Though BJP and Narendra Modi had announced that black money would be brought back within 100 days of coming to power, now the Centre is backtracking from its promise, the Left party leaders said.
Accusing Modi government of failing to check unemployment, price rise and corruption, they said prices of essential commodities have sky-rocketed during the NDA rule.
Hitting out at the BJP-led government, the Left party leaders accused it of failing to take any step to curb corruption and create job opportunities.
Turning to Odisha, they claimed that the ongoing CBI probe into chit fund scam had exposed BJD leaders as several ruling party leaders including MP and MLA have been arrested for their alleged involvement in the scandal.
The leaders also demanded a CBI probe into the mining scam and said the five Left parties while staging dharna near Raj Bhavan here on December 10 would submit a memorandum to the governor highlighting their demands.
The press conference was addressed by CPI state secretary Dibakar Nayak, Janardan Pati of CPI-M, Purnachandra Padhi of FB, Dhurjati Das of SUCI and Judhisthira Mohapatra of CPI (ML) Liberation.
