Sustainable developmental goals (SDGs) mirror India's own vision of development, he added.
"...The fruits of development should reach the poorest of the poor. And active participation of legislators is also very important in this regard," Naidu was quoted in an official statement.
Naidu is also the chairman of the Rajya Sabha.
The delegation consisted of parliamentarians from 15 countries, and four sitting MPs, one former MP and two MLAs from India.
The government think tank NITI Aayog is leading the efforts to coordinate and monitor the implementation of the SDGs, he added.
He also informed the delegation that India was finalising a set of national indicator framework to monitor the domestic achievement of SGDs, and was also engaged in the United Nations process to evolve a framework of global indicators for these goals.
During the meeting, parliamentarians from 15 countries commended the pioneering role India played in the process of formulation of the 2030 Agenda, and said that sustainable efforts would lead to the success of the implementation of this Agenda.
The delegation after elaborate discussion on the issues has submitted the Delhi Declaration to the Rajya Sabha Chairman.
