Hemsworth recently returned to LA after spending four weeks away visiting family in his native Australia and promoting his clothing company Bench in the Philippines.
"The worst fights of their relationship. They now seem to be trying to work it out. Things are going well. They are happy," a source said.
There were reports that the couple had called off their engagement in early this month.
