The 26-year-old star - who has rekindled his romance with Miley Cyrus - has a life-long passion for the watersport and there is nothing he likes doing more, reported Femalefirst.
"I grew up surfing and surfed competitively until I was 18. Surfing is my favourite thing to do in the world. I'd rather do that than anything.
"If I could travel around the world and surf for a living, I would."
However, the "Independence Day: Resurgence" actor has been unable to ride the waves since suffering a back injury last year and is missing the pastime so much, he dreams about it every night.
