Light showers has been lashing Bihar since this morning due to the atmospheric pressure created by cyclone Phailin, the Patna MET Director Ashish Kumar Sen told PTI.
The sky had turned overcast since last evening and a thick layer of cloud enveloped atmosphere causing intermittent light rains since this morning, he said.
The depression created by cyclone Phailin will stay in Bihar for next three days till October 15 next precipitating heavy rainfall in South and North Bihar, Sen said.
Meanwhile, Principal Secretary (Disaster Management Department) Vyasji will hold a meeting of the departmental officials to review preparedness for a likely flood-like situation amid the weather office forecast of heavy rainfall in Bihar over the next three days, official sources said.
