The higher reaches of Kashmir Valley may experience light snowfall tomorrow even as the night temperature continued to dip in Srinagar which recorded the season's coldest night so far.
"There is a possibility of light snowfall in the higher reaches of the Valley tomorrow, but the weather would remain mainly dry in the plains," Sonam Lotus, Director, MET Office said here.
Lotus said the weather would continue to remain dry and the minimum temperatures would dip further.
"It will continue to remain dry for the week ahead and because of the dry air the temperatures will be colder," he said.
The official said Srinagar has been experiencing foggy mornings, which though was normal for this part of the year, would affect the visibility.
"This (Fog) is a common feature in the month of November till about the first week of the next month. But there would be poor visibility during the morning and evening hours as there are enough condensed suspended water droplets in air because of the low temperatures," he said.
Srinagar recorded the coldest night of the season so far with a low of minus 0.5 degrees Celsius as against minus 0.3 degrees Celsius last night, the official said.
He said the minimum temperature in Kupwara district, in north Kashmir, also dipped slightly to settle at minus 1.3 degrees Celsius as compared to minus 1.2 degrees Celsius the previous night.
