The 26-year-old was facing arrest after she left the court-agreed medical unit in California, reported Sun online.
However she swiftly moved on to the popular celebrity recovery centre to check-in as a patient after her lawyer negotiated the change of venue with court officials.
Earlier, Lohan had been a resident at the Betty Ford Centre in 2010 when she spent time there for another court-ordered stint of rehabilitation following a DUI arrest.
Currently, Lohan has checked into the centre for her 90-day treatment order at the clinic as part of a plea deal she struck in a court in a car accident case. This will be her sixth trip to rehab since 2007.
