According to the DSLSA, 32 benches were constituted in the six district courts here which disposed of 1,536 cases. The focus was on cases pertaining to Motor Accident Claims Tribunal (MACT) and settlement amount of approximately of Rs 7.76 crore was awarded.
It said that Lok Adalats were also organised in all three Debt Recovery Tribunals which disposed of 14 cases and settlement amount of Rs 69,22,18,707 was given.
The authority said that Lok Adalats were also organised in the district consumer forums in which 29 cases were settled and an amount of Rs 41,94,523 was awarded.
"Total 1680 cases were settled today in which settlement amount was approximately Rs. 77,61,53,145 and there would be no further appeals," the release said.
