Justices S Rajeswaran and T Mathivanan, acting on a habeas corpus petition filed by the man, directed his counsel to implead in the HCP the inspector of Umachikulam area, where his sons are reportedly staying with their mother.
K Sritharan, in his petition, said that he was running a hotel in Germany when he met and married Vijaya.
Vijaya, as a student, had gone to that country for studies and was helped financially by Sritharan. They later shifted to United Kingdom and had two children.
Sritharan alleged that his in laws did not allow him to meet her while he came here and stayed for 24 days.
The petitioner said he then filed a complaint with the Police Commissioner and also in the External Affairs Ministry for his children, but no action had been taken.
He appealed the court to direct his wife to hand over the children to him along with their passports.
