Lot of biz opportunity in leisure space: Jalaj Aswhin Dani

There are lot of business opportunities in the leisure space as more Indians become well-off, Jalaj Aswhin Dani, entrepreneur, and formerly a top official with Asian Paints said here today.
"One sector that I believe that has a lot of growth is the whole leisure space. I think more and more Indians as they become affluent,... I think people are spending a lot more on themselves than they have done," he said.
He was speaking at panel discussion this evening at the Indian School of Business (ISB) as part of the 2017 Edition of TiE-ISB Connect, an event on entrepreneurship.

It has been observed that people are spending more on eating, physical exercises, clothing, personal trainers in different areas, Dani, ex-President-HR, Supply Chain and Chemicals, Asian Paints, said.
"I believe more and more free time that people will value. The way they spend their free time on products and services, I think it's a great opportunity," he said.
He suggested that opportunities would open for companies if they clearly understood what the customers want.
Srini Raju, Managing Director, iLabs Group and Mahima Datla, Managing Director, Biological E Limited, shared their experiences on the occasion. Rajendra Srivastava, Dean, ISB, also spoke.
