One of her fans said that the statue of Lucy looked like a monster. The fans of the comedy icon wanted the statue to be removed from Celeron.
"The people of Celoron have erected this horrible statue of Lucy in her hometown," so read a statement on the Facebook page. "It is a nightmare. We want them to replace it," it added, without intent to criticise the artist Dave Poulin
Not only the fans who feel that the statue does not really represent the beautiful Lucy, but also Ricky, Balls' husband.
